In this paper, starting from the Maxwell equations, formulas derived propagationequation and the absorption coefficient, phase uniformity coefficient ofelectromagnetic waves in lossy media. Laboratory models equipped with sink as themain experimental device as a platform, a lot of physical model experiments, including the normal course and the different spheres of media measurementexperiment. Not only the traditional underground electromagnetic measurementmethods amplitude parameters, measurement and phase parameters are introducedinto the physical model experiments. Traditional underground electromagnetic waveamplitude measurement instrument is a single parameter, the use of amplitudeattenuation inversion. Phase parameters for the relative conductivity and relativepermittivity inversion, the two are electromagnetic geophysical inversion methodsused to determine and identify underground targets important electrical parameters. So, in the model experiments to measure the phase parameter is of great significance, for underground electromagnetic measuring instrument to achieve the phase andamplitude parameters simultaneously lay a theoretical foundation. In this paper, we have a variety of experimental data the results of the analysis, using the model to calculate the experimental condition known absorption coefficientand phase coefficients, theoretical data obtained experimental results of the physicalmodel of electromagnetic wave propagation through the equation. The theoretical andexperimental data were compared. Experimental verification of the model made inline with the propagation of electromagnetic waves.
