This article is aimed at study the metallogenic characteristics and the prospectingdirection of the Laobing magnetite deposit in Tashikuergan, Xinjiang. And it willsummarize the geological features of the deposit and the origin of deposit based onavailable documents and historical data. Laobing ore deposit is a large iron oredeposit, the study about it is very important.This article has a series achievement as below.1) On the basis of previous studies, this article summarized the geologicalcharacteristics. And it found that the five iron ore body in Laobing zoned clearly.2) Before this article people do believe that the ore bearing strata of paleoProterozoic Bulunkuole group. But the new study found that material sources withinthe iron bearing rock series of tower Asif to tower tulugou volcano sedimentary basinconcentrated in530Ma. Therefore its strata is not the Proterozoic strata. It should bethe early Palaeozoic strata. In addition, the iron bearing rock series in the basin can bedivided into three lithologic sections from bottom up and they are Quartz schistsection, Magnet plaster section and Quartz mica schist section. The magnetite wasoccurrence in the Magnet plaster schist section.3) Paste Iron Construction was found in Laobing magnetite deposit, and itsfeatures was very unique. Its mineral assemblage is anhydrite, gypsum and pyrite,magnetite. This construction’s found is very important.4) After a series of research, this article do believe that the deposit is a MarineVolcano Sedimentary iron deposit. Its mainly formed in the original sedimentary.After that the regional metamorphism changed it slightly.5) As its geological feature and metallogenic epoch is different from the elsesedimentary iron deposits, so it will pioneerly named it "the Pamier type" irondeposit.6) Ore marks for the Laobing mine are summarized, proposed to the oreprospecting criteria.
