Qilian Mountains is an important study area of gas hydrates in our country land. The research of fault structures and the migration pathways, reservoir and trap other issues of gas hydrate are closely related. Multi-source remote sensing has obvious advantages in the study of fault structures. To study the regional tectonic of Qilian Mountains area needs, and further solve the migration pathway, reservoir and trap other issues of gas hydrate, this paper uses a variety of remote sensing techniques to explore remote sensing techniques methods of extracting faults, and distributional location and regularities of ore-controlling faults are interpreted and analyzed. Through remote sensing technology, this paper comprehensively study the ore-controlling fracture of the permafrost located in the distribution of gas hydrate in Qilian Mountains. The issue achieved the following results:(1) Using Insar and DInsar processing methods of radar remote sensing technology, this paper obtains different polarization data of digital elevation range of2717m to5783m and terrain deformation information map of terrain deformation range from-6.42cm to4.0cm. To provide data support for the establishment of remote sensing interpretation, it establishes a three-dimensional terrain and extracts Information of the buried faults.(2) By means of multi-spectral remote sensing techniques, and using of image enhancement processing, thematic information processing and remote sensing data surface temperature inversion methods, this paper obtains a variety of remote sensing images of principal component analysis, tasseled cap transformation and image fusion, and the true surface temperature images of temperature range from-35℃to28℃. Through the image after processing by the remote sensing, it extracts information of the surface faults, and a temperature difference of the surface real temperature images is the evidence of the existence of fault structures. Multi-spectral remote sensing techniques provide the basis for the interpretation of fault structures.(3) Through the multi-source remote sensing data processing, based on geological data, combined of remote sensing image processing and information extraction technology, this paper establishes the terrain deformation differences, the coherence differences, the temperature band differences, the geomorphic changes, and the color and texture changes of the remote sensing images in the study area for the interpretation signs of fault structures. The establishment of interpretation signs determines the identifying characteristics of fault structures on remote sensing images and the standards and basic of information extraction. (4) The article combines with muti-source remote sensing technology. It completes interpreting and extracting information for ore-controlling faults of gas hydrate. We get twenty few faults. Through the distribution, links and causes for the interpretation map of faults in the study area, the article general divides into four faults in three different directions. It includes NW-trending fault, which puts the thrusting as the main fault methods and contains sinistral strike-slip characteristic. It also includes NNW-trending fault, which puts the thrusting as the main fault methods and contains dextral strike-slip characteristic. It also includes NWW-trending fault, which contains strong sinistral strike-slip characteristic and many secondary shear structure. The partition of faults provide important help and reference for the ore-controlling faults of gas hydrate. The study of this article provides new techniques for the study of ore-controlling faults in shallow coverage area and permafrost zone. It provides basis for accumulation and migration of gas hydrate. It’s good for faults of the gas hydrate to guide related study.
