The potash mine in cuckoo Marcy,Congo is located in the north-central of Congo coastal salified sedimentary basin, which belongs to alluvial-diluvial plain topography, and is northeast high, southwest low in the overall terrain. In this area, it has the hilly, depressions, lakes, swamps and other micro-topography, and geological structure is developed. The results gotten by geophysical exploration work, drilling and other methods show that this region has signs of deep tectonic fracture zone existing, and also small folds and faults. The formation and development of faults is one reason for geological disasters, and has a greater impact on the development direction of mineral and river deposit. So the level of understanding of the faults in the mining area will influence the development of mining activities. Therefore, in order to ensure the smooth conduct of mining activities, this article studies the identification methods and characteristics of faults of the potash mine at Cukoo Marcy, Congo. The main methods of faults identification are geology, geophysical prospecting and drilling, with geological identification method used in early pre-investigation work. It is verified by the drilling methods, and it analyzes and identifies by means of the seismic geophysical method, combined with groundwater, geological data and so on. The comprehensive utilization analysis of a variety of identification methods, identify the distribution and characteristics of faults in the mining area, to provide the basis for the next step of the mine construction design.
