At present a single function textile haven’t satisfied people.As intellectualtextiles,which is more intelligent than functional textile,color-changing textiles have alarge market potential,it can be used to make color-changing clothing and temperatureindicating materials,as well as the anti-counterfeiting mark.In functional textiles,theultraviolet protective textiles have great demand,this paper combined intelligent textilesand functional textiles,and develop the fabric which simultaneously have thermaldiscoloration and ultraviolet protective function.This kind of multifunctional fabric can beused for protection product and outdoor products,and in the sμmmer,its advantage is moreapparent.In the scorching sun,it can prevent ultraviolet harm for people,and the thermaldiscoloration function can tip temperature and satisfy consμmption psychology which ispursuing innovative changes,at the same time,it can add more fun and protection forpeople’s life.This paper developed thermochromic and anti-ultraviolet multifunction,and disscussedthe preparation of thermochromic composite materials and thermal microcapsule,finishing methods and process of Multifunctional fabric.At last the paper evaluatedmultifunctional fabrics in the thermochromic properties,anti-ultraviolet properties andusing properties.According to the temperature of color changing,in paper hexadecanol/tetradecanol,bisphenol A,and crystal violet lactone were used as the core-material.They were mixedwith the mass ratio of1:4:70.This paper used the complex coacervation to prerare thethermochromic microcapsules,the thermochromic composite materials were wrapped bythe microcapsules with gelatin-acacia as wall-material and glutaraldehyde ascrosslinker.Through the single-factor and the orthogonal test,the optimal processparameters were determined as follows:the mass ratio of gelatin and core-material is1,emulsification speed is2000r/min,the mass ratio of glutaraldehyde and gelatin is1.5,emulsification time is25min.The microcapsules which is made in this optimization ofprocess is8.14μm,and thermochromic properties,thermal stability,environmentaladaptability of the microcapsules were good.The adhesivity with the cotton fabric andmicrocapsules is better than the other chemical fiber products. Basically the microcapsulesmeet the requirements of the fabric finishing.This paper used two-bath process to make multifunction fabrics and researched the process of multi-functional finishing,then analyzed the influence of ultraviolet finishingagent,microcapsule dosage and adhesive dosage to the fabric in thermochromicproperties,anti-ultraviolet properties,the color depth and colour fastness.Finally optimalprocess of the multi-functional finishing was determined as follows: frist the fabrics weretreated with negative ultraviolet finishing agent agent by dip-hip method and then weretreatedwith thermochromic microcapsules agent by dipping.The process parameters wasoptimized as follows:ultraviolet finishing agent30g/L,the bath ratio1:50,the dippingtemperature25℃,the dipping time30min; the mass ratio of microcapsules and adhesive1,the bath ratio1:20the dipping temperature25℃,the dipping time1h,drying temperature80℃,the curing temperature120℃.Thermochromic properties and anti-ultravioletproperties of the multifunction fabric were good.And the wearing characteristics did notchange obviously,the original style and properties of the fabrics were basically kept.
