It has high energy consumption and high pollution in cement industry,and italways a research hot spot that how to make cement production equipment becomemore energy saving and emission reduction.Cement clinker cooler is the keyequipment of cement production line of energy saving,which uses for the cooling ofthe hot clinker and heat recovery.This article will analysis the factors of unevenclinker cooling on the key technical issues of the grate cooler,and presents grayprediction control program according to the characteristics of lag and inertia gratecooler.The results of research projects will lay the theoretical and technical foundationto improving the balanced cooling efficiency of the cooler.First,this article analyzed the process of production of cement,and established thethermodynamic model of clinker heat transfer combined with the actual conditions ofthe production site,studied three typical conditions of the process of grate coolercooling mechanism. Determined the control variables according to the affection of theamount of raw material feed, cold amount, grate speed and grate pressure to theclinker thickness. Then designed hydraulic systems and on-site electrical controlsystem according to the actual working conditions of5000t/d grate cooler.Second,I established the Grey Forecasting Model of pressure of grate coolerGM(1,1) combined with characteristics of imformation. I collected the data of gratepressure, analyzed two key model parameters(the number of steps prediction P andmodeling dimension M)which effect accuracy of prediction by forecasting model,andprovide the basis for on-site control values. I established the mathematical model of ahydraulic drive control by put the Residual model into Prediction model,this willimprove the accuracy of model prediction. Simulation analysis is made of grayprediction control strategy and the PID control strategy by Matlab software.Throughcomparative analysis, the affection of gray prediction control is better than of PIDcontrol.And then analyzed the effect of control when number of steps P is different.Finally,combined with the actual situation of cement production site, theprediction control algorithm will wrote by VC++,and communicates with discrete control system though OPC technology,it read the historical data from database tocalculate the control quantity,then returns to the discrete control systems via OPCinterface technology,thus it can control the thickness of grate cooler clinker.Thepractical results show that it has a good control effect on the the grate cooler clinkeruniform thickness though this control strategy.
