The wide appliance of spray nozzle technology in the area of steel and ironindustry has been playing great effects on the development of steel and iron industry. Toset the comprehensive test platform of spray nozzles’ characteristics can avail the spraydesign units of data supports, testify spray qualities of spray processing enterprises, andprovide experimental verification for spray installment and transportation of enterprisesthat smelt and process steel and iron.First the thesis introduces constitutes of the comprehensive test platform of spraynozzles’ characteristics in detail. Aiming at the cold and hot states performances ofspray nozzles, the platform designs combined mechanisms as heating system, watersupply system, structure lifting system, dada acquisition and analysis system and thecurrent density testing system. The platform, directing at the cold and hot statesperformances of spray nozzles, can conduct better industrial test research. The analysisof test theory of spray test platform provides theoretical basis for the establishment ofthe automation of the platform, realizes the automation of data collection and analysis,and improves the success rate and accuracy degree of the test.Besides, fluent software is applied to set three groups of a two-dimensionalunsteady heat transfer models and analyze the relationship of changes in the internaltemperature fields of billets under the condition of each models. And five temperatureobservation points related to the actual are set in the models. According to the changes,influences and errors of the heat transfer coefficient on temperature field are analyzed inthe strong convection and transverse direction in the model, which confirms thecondition of the test in a one-dimensional unsteady heat transfer process.Through an aerosol spray nozzle and a water nozzle to test the performance of theplatform, cold state performance of each spray nozzle is tested, including therelationship among the angle of spraying, the quality of flow, current distribution andinjection pressure, and the height of spraying. Additionally, hot state performance ofeach spray nozzle is also tested, i.e. the various elements affecting hear transfer. And thebest working state of each spray is found already. Data collection analysis system isused in parameter optimization and system adjustment.Stimulations and experiments above assure the steadiness of the platform andaccurate conduct and provide suggestions on the follow-up adjustment and promotion.
