In order to pursuing more fascinating and advantageous functional materials, research of rare earth coordination polymers has been improved swiftly. In this paper, three rare earth coordination polymers have been synthesized under hydro(solvo)thermal conditions by using2,2’-biphenyl dicarboxylic acid and2,6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid as the main ligands, and2-Propyl-1H-midazole-4,5-dicarboxylate and isonicotinic acid as the second ligand reaction with Praseodymium, Europium and Samarium. The molecular structures of these complexes have been determinated by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, IR spectra and elemental analysis. These complexes are all1D coordination polymers. The luminescence properties have been determined by fluorescence spectrum and the photoluminescent lifetimes. The molecular structures{Pr(Hpydc)(pydc)(H2O)2·4H2O},(1) is space group P21/c in monoclinic system of1D chain coordination polymer. The IR spectra, elemental analysis are agreement with the X-ray single-crystal diffraction.Coordination polymer [Eu2(2,2’-bpdc)3(H2O)2]n (2) is space group C2/c in monoclinic system of1D chain structural. The IR spectra, elemental analysis are agreement with the X-ray single-crystal diffraction. Luminescence property of2at solid state is determined.2possesses the characteristic emission transition of Eu3+and the main emission transition is5D0â†'7F2. Therefore coordination polymer2emits bright red luminescent and it has potential to become promising candidates for red luminescent materials. The lifetime of2is100μsand382.71μs。Coordination polymer [Sm2(2,2’-bpdc)3(H2O)2]n (3) and [Eu2(2,2’-(bpdc)3(H2O)2]n (2) are isostructural. Luminescence property of3at solid state is determined.3possesses the characteristic emission transition of Sm3+. The lifetime of3is1.19ms and6.37ms.
