With constant increase of oil drilling demands&difficulties and the number of complicated wells, the utilization of three-dimensional graphic visualization technology of well track has obviously become more and more important and urgent. The future directional well and horizontal well technology will increasingly rely on the advanced software technology. The research of three-dimensional visualization technology is of great practical significance in improving the drilling and management levels of multi-bore well, branch well, directional well and extended reach well of China. The three-dimensional visualization researches of well track have been relatively mature at home and abroad; therefore, this topic will focus on the research of comparison and achievement of several calculation models in three-dimensional visualization of well track. With improvement of three-dimensional visualization technology of well track, the current research will focus on the optimization of design&calculation methods of three-dimensional dynamic drilling well track.This paper mainly includes the following work:(1) research of the interpolation model of well track, including establishment of a cylindrical spiral interpolation model, a minimum curvature interpolation model, a natural parameter interpolation model, a curvature&radius calculation model and a spline function calculation model;(2) research of the description algorithm of well track:basic elements calculation of well body;(3) research of scanning calculation, including flat scanning, normal plane distance scanning and nearest distance scanning;(4) research of the drawing principles of inter-well relationship graphic, including the drawing principles of flat scan, normal plane distance scan and nearest distance scan;(5) program design, including selection of program language, advantages of the selected language, achievement of modular structure and structure of module.This paper is mainly concerned with the research of complex-structure well track. Analysis and research have been conducted correspondingly for various calculations related to complex-structure well track, and a series of results have been obtained from research.
