Research on functional coordination compounds assembled by inorganic metal ions and organic molecules has been done for their important application prospect in the basis of the field. This thesis focused on the design and synthesis of organic molecules containing S/N heterocyclic ring and introducing the function of the ligand into the complexes. The research are included three aspect:1. Phenyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline} derivatives1-4were synthesized and their linear and nonlinear optical properties were investigated. The compound1and3containing functional1,3,4-oxadiazole moiety show lower two photon absorption cross-section values than that of the compound2and4containing1,3,4-thiadiazole moiety. This might be attributed that1,3,4-thiadiazole ring has a stronger electronic donation ability than1,3,4-oxadiazole ring. The electron-withdrawing groups have a significant impact on the two photon absorption cross-section values. Meanwhile, electrical storage performance was studied for1and3. Due to the strong electron-withdrawing trifluoromethyl group, molecular3show dynamic random access memory (DRAM) storage type, molecule1show write once and read many times (WORM) storage characteristics.2. Semiconductor bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) nanoplates in large scale with unique highly oriented {001} surfaces were prepared by using a new organic precursor Bi(DTCA)3(DTAC=carbazole-9-carbodithioic acid). The as-prepared Bi2S3nanoplates were dispersed in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and then were spin-coated on an indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass substrate. With a simple stacked structure of ITO/Bi2S3/Al, the fabricated sandwich-like memory device demonstrates dynamic random access memory (DRAM) characteristics with highest ON/OFF current ratio up to106and a long retention time.3. We use the nickel (II) acetate tetrahydrate, trans-p-cumaric acid and4,4’-bipyridine to get a new organic precursor, which was used to prepared NiO nanoparticles. The condition of preparation of hign pure phase NiO was systematically investigated. NiO film, prepared using Ni complexes sol-gel route.
