A method was introduced to prepare the new coated fertilizer using the styrene acrylic emulsion as coated materials. The relationship between the release performance and preparation process of the coated fertilizer was discussed. Besides, the paper presented the process that the biomass power plant ash was transformed to prepare the water soluble fertilizer after activation. The effect of several activators on promoting the transformation of water insoluble nutrients of the ash into the water soluble nutrients was also discussed, and the content of corresponding fertilizer products was determined. The experimental results show that:(1)For BYG-A-type thermostat coating machine, the styrene acrylic emulsion as coated materials, the optimized process conditions of preparation of coated fertilizer were as follows:drum Angle of40°, speed60r/min, temperature60℃, single material spraying quantity2mL and the spraying times depends on the slow-release requirements.the best initial release rate of the coated fertilizer was lower than15%, the28-day cumulative release rate should be lower than80%and the period of the nutrient release was about35days.(2)The content of potassium and phosphorus varied with the different biomass straw. The potassium content of ordinary biomass ash was not high, and it can be used for soil conditioner or silicon fertilizer after the activation. However, for the animal padding straw ash, the content of potassium and phosphorus was high, so it can be prepared by NPK after the activation treatment.(3)The biomass ash that the potassium content was not high could be soaked in the concentrated sulfuric acid.the dissolving rate of potassium can achieve80%or more, and the dissolving rate of magnesium and iron can also be more than70%.Besides, the silica is the main component of the residue which can be activated by sodium hydroxide. And the optimized process conditions were as follows:reaction time of2h, the reaction temperature of200℃, and the quality ratio of sodium hydroxide and residue is0.3:1. The experimental results show that the silica conversion rate was more than65%and the active silicon content was form21%to23%, which reached the standard of silicon fertilizers NY/T 797-2004.(4) the K2O content of the animal padding straw ash was about16.57%,and the P2O5is about18.36%. The experiment showed they can be prepared for NPK after they were activated by sulfuric acid and then neutralized with the ammonium bicarbonate.the optimized activation conditions were as follows:H2SO4of98%, reaction time of2h, the liquid-solid ratio is M98%H2SO4/炉灰=5.52:10the reaction temperature of80℃. The suitable neutralization conditions are:normal temperature, the material ratio is MNH4HCO3/M炉灰=1:10.
