With the rapid development of science and technology, pipeline transportation hasbecome one of the most important mode of transport, including railway, highway,aviation and shipping. The security of operation of the pipeline transport andenvironmental protection are more and more important for the researchers of pipingsystem in our country.More than50%pipeline in the world has been putting into use formore than30years. Moreover,most pipeline in our country has been running for morethan20years.Pipeline aging is increasingly serious, and the inevitable factors such ascorrosion, wear and man-made damage, leakage phenomenon occurred frequently. Thefault caused by leakage is more seriously, which lead to the economic loss andenvironment pollution and casualties accidents are also more serious. Therefore,studies acomplete set of pipeline leak fault diagnosing and locating system, not only hasimportant social significance, but also has important scientific value.This paper not only studies the basic theory of locating and leakage of pipeline, andon this basis, developed a complete set of oil pipeline leakage diagnosis and positioningsystem of the experimental platform, which can simulate any operating mode of thepipeline leak, at the same time,the system can test various theory method in the practicalapplication. The main work of this paper are as follows:First, using Advantech’s high-speed data acquisition card PCI-1712L as collectingdevice of the system, By linking PCL-10168data cables ADAM-3968terminals tosensors, in order to realize high-speed data acquisition. And using the NI company’sLabview platform for designing a man-machine conversation interface, in order to realizethe system leakage fault diagnosis and locating. Secondly, using wavelet soft thresholddenoising method, in order to realize the system signal preprocessing; Using wavelettransform to extract the signal mutation point features, to gain the position shift of thefirst and end of the pressure signal when mutation happened. According to the multi-level wavelet decomposition of the signal determine the inflexion point, by contrast,select of the best decomposition level.Then, according to the fuzzy decision, bydetermining the fuzzy rules and fault identification, draw a conclusion of multi-sensorpositioning formula of leakage fault diagnosis system.Finally, the paper points outproblems need to be solved in the pipeline leak diagnosis system and the direction ofdevelopment in the future, at the same time,looks into the distance of the next research.This paper is only studies the existing theoretical knowledge and analyse the arithmetic. Although the experimental platform can altitude simulate the industry scene,due to the experimental platform located indoors, many natural factors can not be takeninto account, and the stability and long working ability also requires a lot of time tovalidate and improve, compare to the actual fault diagnosis system, there is not a smallgap. If we want put the mentioned method into the actual fault diagnosis system, thesefactors must be test.
