With the concentration of CO2increasing in the atmosphere, the balance of carbon cycle is broken in nature and greenhouse effect is caused. This trend will threaten our survival badly. CO2which is converted to value-added products such as methanol, methane and alcohol is paid more and more attention. Recent years, conversion and utilization of CO2which has a bright future has been attracted through photoelectrochemical ways. This research focuses on the synthesis of the chemical modified CuInS2film electrodes, and research on the photoelectrocatalysis reduction of CO2on the chemical modified CuInS2film electrodes. The conclusion of this research as follows:①The Pyridine-2-benzoyl groups were connected to the surface of the CuInS2films by removing the chlorides. The coverage of the chemical modified CuInS2film electrodes is increasing with the concentration of modifier increasing. The coverage can reach1.0x10-8mol/cm2when the concentration is40mmol/L.②The photoelectrocatalysis reduction activation of CO2on the chemical modified CuInS2film electrode is the highest when pH=4.4.The peak current of reduction can reach-0.19mA/cm2, and the yield of methanol can reach1.13mmol/L after5h’reduction under this condition.③The yield of methanol will increase with reaction time increasing and it can reach1.65mmol/L after10h’ reduction.④The yield of methanol will be changed with the different bias. The yield of methanol is the highest when the bias is-0.4V, and it can reach1.13mmol/L after5’h reduction.
