Du229block structures located on the middle of western slope of western depression, Liaohe Basin. The reservoir type is medium-bedded edge and bottom water ultra-heavy oil reservoir. It has been developed in1998with vertical well steam soak for the calibration recovery23.4%. After more than10years of development, degree of reserve recovery reached to21.1%and degree of recovery of recoverable reserves reached to90.13%. Block development has went into last stage by vertical well steam soak. It is need to do Development Mode conversion in order to achieve the stabilized production of Du229block.The development methods of heavy oil mainly include steam soak, steam flooding, SAGD and burning oil. The relatively mature technologies are steam soak, steam flooding and SAGD. The recovery ratio of steam flooding and SAGD is over60%,which is much more higher than25%of steam soak. Steam soak is most in china. Steam flooding and SAGD is selective because different oilfield have different features. Fire flooding is most difficult contrl, it is not spread application.By means of secondary development of oilfields technology and the conditions and current status of exploitation of block Du229. It make three ways to develop.1infill horizontal well in well spacing;2reserves of Ⅱ SAGD and3steam blooding. Finally it make different methods of secondary development which are based on different horizon of Du229block and different feature of oil layer. The Xing Ⅳ、Ⅴ groups adopt steam blooding and the Xing Ⅱ、Ⅲ groups adopt infill horizontal well in well spacing and reserves of Ⅱ SAGD,which make Du229block reasonable development better.
