This article attempted to add magnetical sepiolite to sewage sludge taken from Xiangtanwastewater treatment plant to construct “magnetical sepiolite/aerobic microbes” couplingsystem, studied the removing characteristics and mechanism of Phenol/Chromium compositewastewater by the coupling system. This experiment compared removal effect of Phenol andChromium by the coupling system, the microbial system, and the magnetical sepiolite systemfirstly. On that basis, the experiments studied the influence of the dosing of magneticalsepiolite quantity, initial pH value, initial concentration of Phenol, initial concentration ofChromium, temperature on Phenol and Chromium removal through single factor tests, andthe collaborative effect on Chromium and Phenol in the coupling system. And then discussedthe removal pathway of Phenol and Chromium, simulated the degradation of Phenoldynamics through zero level, first level, second level. Finally, the article explored the removaleffect of first level of smelting waste water from Chenzhou and industrial water fromQingShuiTang by the coupling system, which provides the technical support for processingwastewater. This paper obtained the conclusions are as follows:①The biggest sludge sedimentationrate of coupling system was121mL/min, which was three times than activated sludge system. The removal rates of Chromium and Phenol were1.2and1.5times than that of sum ofmagnetical sepiolite and aerobic microbes;②The coupling system had great buffer ability inpH2.0-9.0environment, it could maintain the pH of reaction process between7.05and7.55.However, the coupling system disabled the buffer ability when the pH reached10.0;③Whenthe initial concentration of Phenol was310mg/L, Chromium was20mg/L, the dosing ofmagnetical sepiolite was12g/L, initial pH2~9, temperature25℃, the removal rates of bothof all could reached90%;④The coupling system had effect on Cr(Ⅵ)-reducing in thedegradation of Phenol process, the Cr(Ⅵ)was mostly reducted by the aerobic microbes;⑤The coupling system could not only degraded Phenol-C-OH-key fracture, but also hadstrongly degradation to benzene rings;⑥The response rate constant in coupling system, aerobic microbes, magnetical sepiolite were435.8×10-3h-1,10.4×10-3h-1,0.8×10-3h-1. Itcould revealed that the decomposition rate of Phenol in the coupling system could beimproved by magnetical sepiolite;⑦Cr(Ⅵ)was removed by two ways, the first one was thatCr(Ⅵ) was adsorbed on the magnetical sepiolite’s surface due to hydroxyl loosen, the secondone was that the Cr(Ⅲ) that reducted by Phenol and aerobic microbes couldformed thephosphoric acid chromium and acid chromium sediment again;⑧The coupling system could remove CODcr, Phenol, Chromium effectively, the removal rates of all of them were above90%. The coupling system could effectively deal with first level of smelting waste water fromChenzhou and industrial water from QingShuiTang, the processed water can reach emissionsstandards.
