Nitro-aromatic compounds such as1,3,5-trinitrotoluene are highly explosiveand environmentally detrimental substance that has been of pressing social concern.Due to the hydrophobic enrichment of amphiphilic polymer micelle in aqueoussolution and the selective guest recognition in cyclodextrin host-guest systems, thispaper devoted to develop a highly sensitive and selective analytical method for thedetermination of nitro-aromatic compounds. The whole paper includes three parts.A novel, easily available fluorescent sensor α-CD-C based on coumarin andcyclodextrins was designed and synthesized. Then, the inclusion complexes propertieswith a variety of organic compounds in aqueous solution were studied,accommodating a guest molecule in their central cavity. Therefor, which can be usedto detect the selected benezene derivates using a fluorescent coumarin modified α-CDUnit. The synthesis of the fluorophore modified cyclodextrin the characterizationdone by1H-NMR、Mass spectroscopies. The response to the selected aromaticderivates was then tracted using Fluorescence Spectroscopy.The amphiphilic telechelic polymer C-PDMAEMA was prepared byDMAEMA/C-S-S-C/Bu3P and the AIBN as the initiator. The structure of theC-PDMAEMA was characterized with GPC, FTIR and H1-NMR spectroscopes. Itwas found that the coumarin end can form host-guest inclusion complex with β-CD inaqueous solution. The UV-vis and fluorescence spectrum analysis showed that only a1/1complex was formed with the inclusion complex K=1.351×104M-1. And theirradiation experiment showed that this host-guest inclusion may have very smalleffect on the photo-dimerization of coumarin end groups.The detection of nitroaromatic compounds by the micelles of C-PDMAEMA canbe study by fluorescence spectroscopy in aqueous solution. The formation ofhost-guest inclusions complex with cyclodextrin (CDs) andC-PDMAEMA/nitroaromatic compounds were tracted by fluorescence spectroscopy.In this study, a new kind of fast and effective way was proposed to detect traceexplosive in aqueous.
