Recent years, with the development of science technology and the widely attention of food safety, more and more countries pay much attention to the safety of food contact materials. The harmful elements in food contact materials have been one of the important origins of food pollution. In order to protect people’s health and improve trade development, many countries have established rules and regulations of safety management. This article introduces the safety problems of different food contact materials, analyses the test methods and limited requirements of heavy metals in the metal materials and solvent residue and pri-maryaromaticamine in the multi-layer packaging materials. Through the results of determination of Cr, Cd, Pb, As, Ni in the samples of stainless steel by ICP-MS, we deeply analysed the factors which can effect the migration of heavy metals. For the multi-layer packaging material, we studied the extract conditions of2,4-Diaminotoluene and the test method of GC-MS, detemin the best chromatograph condition. Further more, we studied the organic solvent residue by GC-FID.The study compared with the the migration of heavy metals in the different kinds of stainless steel, processing technic and test conditions, we found the main influencing factor of migration. And we gave some resonable suggestions to the producter. For the multi-layer packaging material, we verified the test method and found the migration regularity of solvent residue and2,4-Diaminotoluene in different microwave conditions.
