Epoxy asphalt concrete has very good resistance to rutting,anti-spalling, durable,chemical resistant and easy to produce cracks performance,causing growing concern intransportation and material. Epoxy resin and asphalt compatibility issues have been amajor problem in the development of the work of research epoxy asphalt, epoxy resinsand asphalt there are big differences in terms of density, solubility parameter, polarity,both difficult to compatible. Common blend does not make the asphalt with an epoxyresin to form a stable system.It can reduce the interfacial tension of the epoxy resin andpetroleum pitch, to promote the dispersion of the asphalt in the two mixed,to preventaggregation of the pitch particles.Thesis modified epoxy asphalt compatibilizing agent prepared as raw material epoxyresin E-44and castor oil. Saponified first castor ricinoleic acid,and to determine theoptimum conditions for this process,and then using the obtained ricinoleic acid reactswith the epoxy resin compatibilizer was prepared and to determine the optimumconditions of this reaction.Characterization by infrared spectroscopy, and thecompatibilizing agent of the epoxy value determination,confirmed that the synthesizedcompatibilizer also contain a double bond and an epoxy group. Curing crosslinking of thecompatibilizer on the double bond and a double bond in the bitumen under the role of thevulcanizing agent, the compatibilizing agent on the epoxy group, and an epoxy resincured in the role of the curing agent for crosslinking, i.e. compatibilizer with an epoxyresin and asphalt while a chemical reaction of a chemical bond, so that a firm connectionof the epoxy resin and asphalt. Based on the above studies, the following conclusions:1. By the infrared spectrum and the acid value measurement on the ricinoleic acid,can be drawn, and the castor oil is the most suitable hydrolysis conditions were:temperature was controlled at70°C, of NaOH dosage and castor oil molar ratio of4:1.The amount of catalyst was2%of the mass of the castor about reaction39min. 2. Epoxy resin E-44and castor oil acid was prepared compatibilizer precursorreaction under different reaction temperature,amount of catalyst,the amount of solventconditions, as determined by infrared spectroscopy and acid value,comparative analysis.The reaction temperature of130°C, the amount of catalyst was1.5%,the the solventquality50g when the highest conversion rate.3. In the different reaction temperatures, formic acid-hydrogen peroxide catalyzedcompatibilizer precursor obtained in the epoxidation reaction a compatibilizing agentcontaining an unsaturated double bond and an epoxy group. Determination and InfraredCharacterization of the epoxy value of the compatibilizing agent, the obtained epoxidizedoptimum temperature of70°C.Further, in the infrared spectra of the final preparationobtained by the compatibilizing agent, with a clear absorption peak of the carbon-carbondouble bond and the epoxy group.4. Of the bitumen, the compatibilizing agent and a vulcanizing agent in vulcanizationobtained under certain conditions vulcanization asphalt. The bitumen viscositydetermined by testing after vulcanization vulcanizing agent is5%of the mass of theasphalt.5. The quality of the asphalt with epoxy resin,etc.mixed, containing the sampletubes with the same stent placed in an oven of163°C±5°C, allowed to stand for48hmeasured after the upper and lower ends vertically softening point. The softening point ofthe smallest difference obtained when adding5%compatibilizer,4.2°C. And the degree ofdispersion of the fluorescence microscope system, can also be seen when adding5%compatibilizer system optimal degree of dispersion.6. The optimum amount of curing agent forthe epoxy resin is80%.7. The epoxy asphalt curing applicable period investigation, you can see the suitable curing conditions of120°C,30min.
