Plant essential oil is a kind of secondary metabolites of plant origin. It has a broad spectrum of bioactivity, so it is considered the most promising direction of development in fresh-keeping research field. In this paper, with cinnamon, cloves, the leaves and citronella essential oils as the research object, the bioactivity of plant essential oil was studied from the antibacterial and insect-resistant two aspects. The cinnamon oil which antibacterial effect is the best was selected and made for two kinds of forms of antistaling agent. Then they were evaluated from different aspects.The major research results of this paper are as follows:1. In vitro and living conditions, plant essential oil all can play different degree of inhibition in fruits and vegetables postharvest pathogenic fungi. Antimicrobial activity is related to mode of action, time and concentration. In addition, in vitro test, sodium carbonate can improve antibacterial effect of essential oil.2. Plant essential oil has insect-resistant of bioactivity. The repellency rate of cinnamon oil and lemongrass oil on moth larvae are above60%; Fumigation mortality, cinnamon oil is60.89%and lemongrass oil is40.03%; Zeamais mortality, cinnamon oil is72.30%and lemongrass oil is50.21%. From the integral effect, cinnamon oil>lemongrass oil.3. The analysis by GC-MC:Cinnamon oil contains28species composition, the main chemical compounds is cinnamaldehyde, which relative content higher than83.18%; Clove oil contains17fragrance compounds, the main chemical compounds is eugenol, which relative content higher than88.63%; Volatile oil contains45species composition, the main chemical compounds is Valencia orange ene, which relative content higher than32.61%; Lemongrass oil contains40fragrance compounds, the main chemical compounds is lemon aldehyde, which relative content higher than46.99%;4. Essential oil can effectively restrain the malondialdehyde (MDA) of pear to rise, at the same time, stimulate the PPO enzymatic activity of pear in a very short time, and improve the POD enzymatic activity of pear.5. Identified the processes of two kinds of forms of cinnamon oil antistaling agents:①Process of β-cyclodextrin microcapsule with cinnamon essential oil:proportion of core-material1:8、embedded temperature60℃、embedded time3h;②the formula of cinnamon essential oil tablet:cured cinnamon oil powder、shellac、water extract of cinnamon、amount of80%ethanol、magnesium stearate; The parameters of presser process: press10kn、speed1000r/min、filling depth8mm.6. The anti-insect application effect of P-cyclodextrin microcapsule shows that it has slow-release effect which compared with liquid oils.7. The release rate of cinnamon essential oil tablet is slower than cured power and relate to temperature and packaging. From in vitro bacteriostasis effect look, compared with liquid oils, the cinnamon essential oil tablet can extend the antibacterial time1-2times.
