In this research paper, we use the immersion method and the process is simpleprepared, the load type catalytic material Fe2O3/HZSM-5and Fe2O3/SBA-15, whichwere non-toxic and security. Many characterizations of catalyst were tested byNH3-TPD, XRD, BET, FT-IR, and ICP-MS. In the reaction, the load type catalyticmaterial Fe2O3/SBA-15was prepared, its composition and structure had beencharacterized. We discussed Fe2O3/SBA-15catalyst for producing dimethyl carbonate(DMC) from methanol and urea. Catalyst Fe2O3/SBA-15showed better catalyticperformance. At the same time, we discussed Fe2O3/SBA-15catalyst preparationconditions and reaction conditions on the influence of synthetic reaction, Wedetermined the optimal preparation conditions of catalyst: optimal concentration ofFeCl3solution in ethanol for preparing catalyst with higher activity was0.5mol/L andcalcined at500°C,loading of iron was6.14%. And the optimal preparation conditions:the urea/CH3OH molar ratio1:100, the reaction temperature180°C, the reaction time7h, amount of the catalyst0.3g, and the stirring speed500rpm.15.3%yield ofDMC and100%selectivity of DMC is achieved under the optimal conditions. And wediscussed Fe2O3/SBA-15catalysis under the possible reaction mechanism.We inspected the Fe2O3/HZSM-5catalyst for producing dimethyl carbonate (DMC)from methanol and urea in the catalytic performance of this catalyst showed goodcatalytic activity. The optimal concentration of Fe(NO3)3solution in ethanol forpreparing catalyst with higher activity was0.3mol/L and calcined at500°C, loading ofiron was2.26%. And the optimal preparation conditions for producing DMC frommethanol and urea using Fe2O3/HZSM-5are as follows: the urea/CH3OH molar ratio1:160, the reaction temperature180°C, the reaction time8h, amount of the catalyst0.3g, and the stirring speed500rpm.8.7%conversion and100%selectivity of DMC isachieved under the optimal conditions. Otherwise, the catalytic activity of the reusedcatalyst, DMC yield and selectivity were almost not affected even at the third run.
