A spherical keplerate {W72V30} acts as the electron acceptor in a photovoltaic system forthe first time. It is a promising alternative electron acceptor to the traditional electron acceptorfullerene (C60). A water-soluble PPV derivative(P2) was chosen to be a new kind of electrondonor in this photovoltaic system. The photovoltaic film was composed of anionic POMs({W72V30}) and cationic P2were fabricated by the layer-by-layer(LbL) self-assembly method. It was characterrized by UV-Vis spectra, X-Ray photoelectron spectra, photoluminescencespectrum, atomic force microscopy and photoelectrochemical measurements, showingsignificant photocurrent response. This work represents a promising strategy in designingpolymer photovoltaic devices in future. |
