With the development of economy and the improvement of living standards of the people, large toys installed outdoors or in family garden which is for children’s collective playing is more and more popular. Large toys is normally used for children’s collective use, whose structure and strength correspond to children’s playing characters, so safety measures should be taken to avoid falling, squeeze, scratch or other injuries. However, the lacking of related safety standard in our country leads to a big hidden danger of its safe aspect.This paper is firstly according to characters of the behavior of children’s playing in large toys and likely encounter risks, analyzing the dangerous structure of typical large toys. With reference to foreign standards literature to study the safety requirements of typical large toys adapted to national conditions. This paper is primarily around the structure and size of the typical large toys, squeeze and other aspects, mainly focusing common safety requirements of the entrapment of the head and neck, entrapment of clothing, entrapment of finger and others and the special safety requirements of slides, swings, and others for analysis in order to produce corresponding requirements. Then establish corresponding detection methods based on each safety requirements and develop a proper integrated testing device for fast field detection of large toys. Based on the tri-axial acceleration sensor, an automate swing seat crash test system was developed. The special designed embedded tri-axial acceleration sensor is put into an aluminum ball and acquired the signal is transmitted to a computer. And, the acceleration value and pressure of collision are calculated through the software. Finally, the feasibility and reliability of testing system are verified by the many field experiments.
