Design Vice Static Rigidity Linear Guides Research Test Bed And Test Methods

As the precision rolling function unit, linear rolling guide has been more and more widely used in the CNC machine tool industry for its excellent precision and friction properties. Due to one of its fundamental characteristics, static stiffness affect the carrying capacity and Machining accuracy of the NC machine tool directly. This paper focuses on developing test-bed for static stiffness testing. Measurement and control system are designed and relevant experimental software is programmed for the test-bed. On this basis to improve static stiffness testing methods, these will provide test and inspection instruments for improving homemade static stiffness of linear rolling guide.Based on Hertz contact theory, this paper sets up theoretical modeling and does analysis for static stiffness of ball and roller Guide of vertical load. In addition, finite element model is built with ANSYS Workbench for Guide. According to the structure characteristics of the Guide, contact and mesh is set up and the guide deformation is got after solving.According to the principle of static stiffness test, in order to meet the needs of performance of the test and measurement, large load capacity of the static stiffness test-bed has been designed, and the servo load mechanism has carried on the detailed design calculation. Loading equipments are developed properly for many kinds of load forms. In addition, the micro-adjusting mechanism of a displacement sensor is developed.On the basis of test-bed which manufacture completed, the hardware and circuit connection of the load control system and data acquisition system are analysed to meet the needs of the experiment. Text software is programmed combined with experience and the needs of experiment. Besides, this paper introduces the compositions and use method of the software.Based on the test-bed and load equipments, the test specification of the static stiffness for linear rolling guide is improved. The purpose and conditions of the static stiffness test is clear-cut and the measuring point distribution of displacement sensor is elaborated. This paper introduces the static stiffness test steps and elicits the calculating formula of static stiffness test of four different types of loading.
