Strip shape is one of the most important of strip’s quality. The shape accuracy ofhot rolled strip is one of the main quality indexes, which decides on the marketcompetitiveness of products. Work piece was influenced by many factors such asoriginal crown, tension, rolling force, bending force and rolling velocity and theseinfluences all were nonlinear. At present, shape control technology has become one ofthe core technologies in hot strip rolling and also the frontier and hot point of currentresearch and development.On basis of the project of tang gang1810mm Hot Strip Mill, in-depth analysis ofthe control model of the basic theory and the PC mill flatness control, in order toimprove the quality of hot rolled shaped, the main research contents and achievementsare presented as follow:1、The development situation of shape control in the hot strip rolling was statedby studying a lot of foreign papers and systematically researched shape control theoryand its technology. Such as the Elastic Deformation of rollers, roll thermal camberand roll wear.2、Shape setting model was researched in PC mill, Some problems about PC millare analysis. Such as performance, the mathematical model of strip crown influencecoefficient, the mathematical model of shape influence coefficient, roll wear model、roll temperature distribution,and roll thermal camber model. The researched resultsshowed that it has important significance.3、The problems existing in the production is analyzed in Tang gang1810mm hotstrip rolling line and built the best crossing angle model and best bending roll modelby the problem of shape wave. It ensures section form and flatness to control shapequality.4、The shape model can only guarantee the strip through the head afterfinishing mill quality, In this paper automatic shape control system controls bendingforce to ensure that strip the full length of the convex and flatness.5、Feedback of the strip profile and flatness has been introduced in modelself-learning to different standers. It can improve effectively precision of shape setmodeling. Production data shows that shape quality is improved greatly and thesystem has a well prospect of application.
