With the rapid development of economic globalization, technical barriers to trade (TBTs) are used frequently to protect the domestic industries. The impacts of TBTs on international trading are more extensive and profound than the general trade measures. Many of the TBTs directly lead to prohibited and restricted imports. The main trade nations take advantage of non-tariff trade barriers, the very popular way TBTs, which cause sizeable loss and trade obstacles to Chinese fish trade. The new TBTs being imposed in the form of excessive strict health and sanitation requirements show very important effect on Chinese aquatic products import and export trade.Japan, the United States, European Union and South Korea are the largest trade partners of China in fish products. The most important cause of Chinese fish trade risk is the high degree of market concentration. The ability to withstand market risks is very poor. Frozen fish and fish fillets rank first among the aquatic products. However, only5%is domestic varieties, including eel, tilapia and large yellow croaker etc. And almost95%of the fish products accept customers’materials for processing.Compared Chinese national veterinary drug residues standards in fish with CAC’s, there are55veterinary drugs indicators are only referred by China.29veterinary drugs indicators are not found in European Union standards targets.31veterinary drugs residues indicators are not mentioned in Japanese related standards. In comparison to the United States of America,51veterinary drugs residues indicators are not mentioned. Compared Chinese National Veterinary Drug residues standards in fish with South Korea, there are49indexes only involved by China. There are two standards just provided by CAC.39,111,19veterinary drugs residues indicators are referred by European Union, Japan, USA and South Korean separately. The quantities of Japanese standards are significant more than China. At the same time, Japanese standards are very strict and specific, revealed that China should improve the related standards and research. The United States provides the maximum residue limits values of25varieties of drugs in fish. Compared our maximum residue limits with U.S.A’s, the oxytetracycline of limited value significantly higher than our standard’s value. Drugs maximum residue limits, such as chloramphenicol, chlordane, clenbuterol and diethylstilbestrol are consistent with our standards. But the United States has18kinds of residue limits, which are still not involved in China.24varieties of drugs maximum residue limits are referred by South Korea. The maximum residue limits value of florfenicol is significantly higher than the standard in China. Chloramphenicol, malachite green, clenbuterol, diethylstilbestrol and other drugs of limited value is consistent with Chinese standards. It is the point that there are another17drugs that are still not provided corresponding standards. It is the important issue to update the related standard system in the future. As a whole, there are differences in forbidden and limited use veterinary varieties set, except the international consensus on the toxicity of banning drugs. Although most Chinese veterinary drug residues standards reference to the standard formulation of international or developed countries. And all of the veterinary drugs are involved the data relating to the withdrawal period. However, it is still difficult to solve the problem of veterinary drug residues in fish now.
