In this paper, the technique of dyeing Pinus sylvest var. mongolica veneer with reactive dyes is studied. The objective is to the application of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica.Dyeing Pinus sylvest var. mongolica veneer with reactive brilliant red X-3B is an orthogonal test. dye uptake, color difference of veneer surface before and after dyeing, dye adsorption and color difference of veneer surface before and after UV Radiation are measured. The dyeing effects of technical parameters are discussed. The correlation between color difference, dye uptake and dye adsorption are analyzed. The optimal process parameters of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica veneer dyeing with reactive dyes are determined. The results showed:(1) When the dye absorbance is in the range of0.2-0.8, concentration of dye can be predicted with the absorbance and the linear regression equation. The method of dye dilution is diluting dye liquor from15mL to250mL, then diluting it from25mL to1OOmL(2) Concentration of dye, NaCl, and Na2CO3, dyeing time, dyeing temperature, liquor ratio, and fixing time have a certain influence on dye uptake, color difference of veneer surface before and after dyeing, dye adsorption and color difference of veneer surface before and after UV Radiation. There are several rules in charge of the influence.(3) Under the level of a=0.05, the influence of concentration of dye and NaCl on dye uptake, color difference of veneer surface before and after dyeing are significant, while others are not significant; the influence of liquor ratio, concentration of dye and NaCl on dye adsorption are significant, while others are not significant; the influence of concentration of dye and NaCl, dyeing time and liquor ratio on color difference of veneer surface before and after UV Radiation are significant, while others are not significant.(4) Under the level of a=0.01, the positive linear dependence between dye uptake and color difference of veneer surface before and after dyeing was significant; The negative linear dependence between dye adsorption and color difference of veneer surface before and after dyeing was significant. The former was better than the later. The linear dependence between dye adsorption and dye uptake was not significant under the level of a=0.01. Dye uptake and dye adsorption can be predicted with color difference of veneer surface before and after dyeing and the linear regression equation.(5) The optimal process parameters of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica veneer dyeing with reactive dyes:concentration of dye is3g/L; concentration of NaCl is lOg/L; dyeing temperature is60℃; dyeing time is120min; concentration of NaaCO3is5g/L; fixing time is60min; and liquor ratio is30:1.
