The Study And Design Of A Preparation Of1000t/a Environmentally Friendly Activated Carbon Binder

The coal tar is usually used as a binder of activated carbon. However, the large price fluctuations and serious pollution of coal tar make the cost of activated carbon high. So, for the aim of reducing cost and improving the working environment, we have successfully fabricated environmentally friendly activated carbon binder usting the method of modifying and emulsifying using temperature coal tar which is low price, high carbon, wide source and good adhesion as raw material. This method is successfully used in the fabrication of activated carbon.The first part of this article is about the manufacturing process. After investigating the preparating and application experiment of activated carbon binder, we get an optimal fabricating route. The route parameters are medium temperature pitch of48%, emulsifier A of0.6, emulsifier Bof0.12%, modifier of26%, NaOH of about0.28%, water of25%, temperature of soap and coal tar pitch is85±5℃and110±5℃respectively. It can be seen that this route has advantages of mild conditions and environmentally. It provides a basis for the design and refinement of the production process fand lays a reliable foundation for the production of the actual lay a reliable foundation for practical production.The second part is mainly on the design of production process of the binder. On the base of binder process conditions, the production process route and the design process is determined and the whole process of material and energy is accounted. It show that the process is simple and easy to operate and control.In the third section, the major equipment is selected and the investment of equipments and product cost are estimated. The economic efficiency, sensitivity analysis and break-even point are analyzed. The result shows that the project management is in high security, that is, if a total investment is500million yuan, a annual pre-tax profit of4,813,200yuan, net profit of3.225.500yuan would be obtained. In conclusion, emulsified asphalt can be used as a binder with reaped huge profits and better development prospects.
