At present, along with the rapid development of China’s iron and steel industry,the demand for sintering equipment is growing, and the sintering machine, as one ofthe devices which supply blast furnace raw material, also plays more and moreimportant role. Sintering machine trolley is mainly responsible for charging, ignition,sintering on the track and discharging sinter trolley at the rear end, so its operationwill directly affect the quality of sinter. This study introduced the Lu Qi belt sinteringmachine tail trolley arching phenomenon, and made certain improvement design forthe key parts so as to reduce the arch by taking450m~2of band sintering machine forexample. In order to fundamentally solve the problem of lower level track arch, thispaper further analyzed the causes of arch from the viewpoint of mechanics, putforward power control threshold, and verified the correctness of the formula ofthreshold through the virtual prototype simulation. At the same time, a series of bandsintering machine force value database were established, which provided theoreticalreference for later similar belt sintering machine designed.At first, this study calculated the basic parameters of the belt type sinteringmachine, mainly including effective sintering area, the trolley running speed, andcenter distance, quantity of trolley etc. Then from the work principle of the trolley attail of sintering machine, it introduced some key structural design and analysis of beltsintering machine, including car body structure design, the tail wheel design andanalysis, trolley wheel rail design and so on, to effectively ensure the normaloperation of the sintering machine tail trolley and reduce the arch.Secondly, in order to fundamentally solve the problem that the belt sinteringmachine arches, under the basis of structure design at the previous chapter, this studyestablished the tail trolley plane mechanical arch model by taking450m~2beltsintering machine for example, analyzed the essential reason of the car arch from themechanical aspects, and gave out the train of arch force control threshold throughanalysis of the model.Finally, by using the software of ADAMS, the author built450m~2of sinteringmachine virtual prototype model, made dynamic simulation analysis for the sinteringmachine trolley in the rear traction mechanism, got a curve that the tail sprocket tostep down the train thrust versus time, and then virtually controlled step down trainarch further through the method of front power control threshold, which proved the correctness of step down train mechanical model and the stress threshold controlmethod from the angle of the visualization simulation. According to the trolleystructure size and translation quality, a series of band sintering machine force valuedatabase were established, which provided reference basis for engineering design ofsubsequent belt sintering machine.
