Coking wastewater is a kind of high concentration of refractory organic industrial waste water. It contains a lot of phenols, PAHs and other organic compounds. The relevant national provision points out that phenol and cyanogen contained wastewater mustn’t be discharged after the treatment. Therefore, coking wastewater has been required to not only reach the water quality standard, but also realize recycling. At present, the COD of most coking plants’wastewater is still difficult to reach the standard after the treatment. It is necessary to choose the proper deep processing method for the wastewater recycling. Since the resin has good adsorption properties and its regeneration process is simple, it is appropriate to use the resin for deep process of coking wastewater. This study chose H103,201×7and D301R these three kinds of resins to do the adsorption experiment of coking wastewater. The treatment effects of COD and the feasibility of applying this method in the actual industrial treatment have been analysed. The COD static adsorption experiment of raw coking wastewater and GC-MS analysis results showed that, D301R had the highest removal rate of COD and the best effect on organic adsorption. Chose D301R for dynamic adsorption experiment, the results showed that the best flow of raw coking wastewater was4BV/h, the resin’s saturated adsorption capacity was458.8mg/g. In the study of adsorption-saturated resin’s regeneration, chose1mol/L HC1as the eluent. After multiple adsorption-regeneration process, D301R resin’s regeneration efficiency had little change. So the resin could be reused in the treatment. The static adsorption experiment of biochemical-treated coking wastewater showed that, the optimal dosing quantity of resin in10ml wastewater was0.2g, the optimal adsorption time was60min. GC-MS analysis showed that after biochemical treatment and D301R resin adsorption, the organic species of raw coking wastewater decreased by about86%, and all kinds of organic matter’s peak areas were significantly declined. Phenol and its derivatives and PAHs were completely removed. Dynamic adsorption experiment showed that the best flow of coking wastewater was6BV/h, the resin’s saturated adsorption capacity was235.3mg/g. After multiple adsorption-regeneration process, the regeneration efficiency of D301R resin remained a high level. It proved that D301R had good regeneration properties, which was reusable.Experimental results and economic feasibility analysis showed that, D301R resin had good removal effects of COD in both raw and biochemical-treated coking wastewater. Phenolics in raw wastewater could be recycled though extraction and distillation. This method is economic and effective, which can be used in the actual industrial treatment of coking wastewater.
