Analysis On Residents’ Management Behavior Of Household Garbage In Rural Areas Of Fujian Province

With the rapid development of our country’s rural economic since the reform and opening, environmental pollution is getting more and more serious in rural areas, and the problem of household garbage pollution has become the most urgent environmental problem that needs to solve. The formation of household garbage pollution results from the short supply of public survice, as well as the lack of rural residents’effective management.At present, studies about household garbage management pay close attention to community and government’s behavior, survey region are limited to city areas. At present, the government continuously strengthens the construction of household garbage dispose public service in rural areas, and enhance study on rural residents’ management behavior is necessary.This article analyzes the resident’s household garbage management behavior in Fujian rural area from residents-the microscopic main body.On the basis of public goods theory, externality theory, A-B-C theory, we treat the rural residents as both economic and social human nature "rational man", they both pursue benefit maximization and are restricted to the social relations when choosing life garbage disposal way. We divides resident’s household garbage management behaviors into generating garbage, collecting garbage, sorting garbage, recycling garbage and treating useless garbage.This article first briefly introduces the general situation of household garbage in rural areas of Fujian Province, including the characteristics of household garbage, governance and the problems in administering.Next, analysing the rural resident’s household garbage management behavior features,and draw the conclusion that behavioral differences performance in the stage of treating useless garbage, embodied in if treatment is to the benefit of environment.Since the management of household garbage pollution is just started in rural areas,changing rural resident’s all management behavior in short time is unrealistic. Changing rural resident’s management behavior in the stage of treating useless garbage has the he strongest operability at the moment, and its also has the most significant influence on environmental protection. Following, we draw lessons from the conclusions of our predecessors’ studies and survey data analysis and find14factors which may affect resident’s useless garbage disposal behavior. After that,we set up a Logistic model, we find out five significant factors:garbage cleaning frequency, whether there is domestic waste Publicity Propaganda, household resident population, the quantity of garbage collection facilities supply, average per capita life garbage output, and we give an economics explain for the regression results.Finally, according to the significant influence factors and combination with related economics theory, we put forward countermeasure suggestions to promote the rural household garbage effective governance from increasing supply facilities, strengthening propaganda, establishing the long-term mechanism, promoting waste reduction, arousing resident’s initiation.
