The Research Of Home Batnroom Product Design Based On The Idea Of Slow Design

Sanitary products are so close to human beings that they play a very important role in ourdaily life. In nowadays when industrial design is so fast developing, more and more peoplebegin to think about the function and significance of sanitary products design. With the rapiddevelopment of the global economy and the loss of energy, various environmental problemscaused by poor ecosystem have greatly effected the long-term development of humans.People gradually come to suffer from mental and physical exhaustion with the pace of lifequickening. Meanwhile, more and more new words about sub-health are becoming known tothe public. Therefore, how to improve the status quo of the loss of energy and the lack ofresources, how to design products to improve quality of life and the environment, and how toutilize resources properly have become one of the most important research projects thatpeople now are working on.A new design concept based on improved thought of sustainable development served asnewly appeared design concept in recent years, has more concern about the relationshipbetween human beings and social culture and natural environment. With the more carefullydeliberation of designers, it gradually become aware of the flaws of modern design,encouraging the thought of reformed design. It advocates not only the people-orientation idea,but also the design methods to satisfy the common interests of humans, the environment andthe social culture.This article claimed the defects of existent designs by analyzing the current socialproblems and investigating its background, and then summarized the extension of sustainabledevelopment theory—slow design concept. It brought out the new concept of design byanalyzing the actual current development of sanitary products. It took flower wine products asan example, and analyzed its unsustainability under the model of modern design in thisconsumer society. Slow design has been raised as the solution of resource sustainability. It hascompared and analyzed the existing design cases, and has encouraged new design concept forsanitary products by discussing in detail the core idea of slow design concept. Under theinstruction of slow design concept, we can detain the consumption speed by increasing theendurance of material, culture and the emotion humans hold for sanitary products. We alsocan ease resources consumption and environmental pollution by the main method of conserving water resources. In this way, sanitary products from slow design concept has atlast become the driving force of sustainable development.In this article we also have a special link of design practice. After doing market researchand analyzing products users, it applied slow design concept to sanitary products design to letus better capture the feature that water is the source of life, making it possible to reduce wasteof resources, create the environment for sustainable development materially, and help peoplerelease the control of the quick pace of life mentally. It’s more close to nature and ourinstincts, contributing to the relief of people’s pressure in this stressful society and thepromotion of harmony between human beings and nature and society.
