Global warming has been focused as an important environment problem, and thegreenhouse gas plays an important role in it. The use of clean energy and the sustainabledevelopment of agriculture has important significance to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Inorder to measure the greenhouse gas emission reduction potential of rural under the CDMproject, taking rural CDM (Clean development mechanism) project of Shaanxi province as acase study, use of rural biogas in Dali, Linwei and Shiquan county and recommendedfertilization in Linwei and Mian county impacted on greenhouse emissions was researched toestimate reductions of greenhouse gas emissions of this project. The main results were asfollows:1. After the implementation of the household biogas project,0.10-0.11hm2of forest wasprotected per household and142.88hm2forest was total protection in Linwei county annually,0.03-0.12hm2of forest was protected per household and160.38hm2forest was total protectionin Dali county annually,0.18-0.20hm2of forest was protected per household and507.77hm2forest was total protection in Dali county annually. In this three counties, protected forest landwas810.95hm2, fixed carbon content reached1583.29tCO2eand released oxygen was4238.71tCO2e.2. Energy structure was changed by using of household biogas in project area. Theproportion of fuel wood, coal and straw in conventional energy was sharp fall, for examplethe proportion of fuel wood gone down40%,30%and87%; the proportion of straw gonedown20%,30%and1%; the proportion of biogas increase to73%,66%and88%in Linwei,Dali and Shiquan county, respectively.3. The change of household energy structure reduces the emissions of greenhouse gases. The emission reductions of greenhouse gas were0.93-1.07tCO2e,1.00-1.17tCO2eand0.91-1.08tCO2eper household in Linwei, Dali and Shiquan County annually, respectively. Thetotal emission reductions of greenhouse gas in these three counties were6102.37tCO2e.4. Excrement management style was changed by using of biogas in farmers, that is fromstacking in air to centralized processing as biogas raw material. The change of excrementmanagement reduced the emissions of greenhouse gases; the emissions reductions were 0.23tCO2e,0.26tCO2eand0.30tCO2eper household in Linwei, Dali and Shiquan Countyannually, respectively. The total emission reductions of GHG in these three counties were1608.62tCO2e.5. The total greenhouse gas emissions of using of household biogas in Linwei, Dali andShiquan County were13516.38tCO2e. Household biogas can improve rural environmentalsanitation and farmer’s quality of life.6. Using of recommended fertilization can reduce nitrogenous fertilizer in farm andreduce the greenhouse gases produced by nitrogen fertilization vastly. The emissionreductions were700.99-733.12kg·hm-2CO2eand544.38-618.14kg·hm-2CO2ein project farm ofLinwei and Mian county annually; the emission reductions of reducing nitrogenous fertilizerin these two counties was3011.20tCO2e.7. Recommended fertilization can increase crop yield. The average yield of maize andwheat can increase543.0kg·hm-2and436.5kg·hm-2, growth rate is6.59%and6.55%, inLinwei county respectively. The average output of rice and rape was497.3kg·hm-2and211.4kg·hm-2,growth rate is5.67%and7.93%, in Mian county respectively. The emissionreductions of greenhouse gas were1914.02tCO2eby crop yield increasing.8. Recommended fertilization can increase soil organic carbon content and can thanconventional farming is0.04g·kg-1. The total emission reductions of increasing soil organiccarbon content were1914.02tCO2equivalent.9. The total emission reductions of greenhouse gas of recommended fertilization were5709.08t CO2equivalent.10. The total emission reductions of rural CDM project about household biogas projectand recommended fertilization project were18046.63t CO2equivalent. This project canreduce village’s greenhouse gas emission and protect village’s ecological environment.
