Study On The Packaging Design For Gum Base Candy

Taking the packaging design for gum base candy as the research object, this paper illustrated the concept and historical development process of gum base candy and analyzed the distinction between oriental and western culture as well as the differences in social life by investigating, analyzing and studying the brand packaging for gum base candy at home and abroad, through which the design styles and marketing forms were induced and summarized. Combined with the data drawn from the questionnaires targeting different consumer groups, the current market situation for gum base candy, its packaging design and the psychology of consumers were compared and analyzed. The problems existing in the domestic packaging were thus found out by conducting specific analysis, and effective design strategies and implementation methods such as branding and strategies about consumer positioning and packaging were put forward. Plans for improving the extensible structure of the packaging market of gum base candy were made, and personal opinions about the future development trend and designing methods of the packaging design for gum base candy were stated hoping to provide theoretical basis and guiding for the packaging design of gum base candy and packaging designers.
