With the reducing of shallow coal resources in China, the development of mine mining to the deep gradually, deep high stress cause serious threat to the stability of roadway engineering. Thus, Research on failure characteristics and support technology of deep roadway is particularly urgent. From this starting point, this text, through using similar simulation and numerical simulation analyses failure characteristics of deep roadway, support technology of deep roadway is put forward. The major contents in this paper are as follows:By using similar simulation test equipment of large proportion plane model made by ourselves, similar simulation test for deep roadway without supporting is made. Variation trend of stress and variation trend of displacement were analysised, characteristics of deformation and failure of deep roadway without supporting was obtained. Through analyzing the data of displacement measuring points, destroy range of deep roadway was obtained. Numerical simulation experiment was used as supplement. Characteristics of deformation and failure态variation trend of stress and variation trend of displacement was researched by using numerical modeling experiment.With the results of similar simulation and numerical simulation, supporting scheme of wire meshes beam and cable anchor and bolt-grouting was put forward,and discussed why it is feasible by using numerical modeling experiment.
