In this thesis, the zinc oxide nanomaterials with different morphologies andstructures were synthesized by the hydrothermal method. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X ray diffraction (XRD), infraredspectroscopy (IR) and Raman spectroscopy (Raman) were used to study themorphology and microstructure of the as-synthesized products. The results showed thatthe growth parameters have serious influences on the morphologies of ZnOnanostructures. The photocatalytic property, and wettability were investigated.ZnO microflowers are synthesized at low temperature by the hydrothermal method.SEM and TEM results showed that the as-obtained products possess flower-likestructures assembled by the nanosheets. The size of the product is1.5μm and thethickness of the nanosheet is30nm. XRD and IR spectrum demonstrated the productsare wurtzite structure. By changing the reaction time, temperature, zinc source, pH, andsolvent ratio, the optimum synthsized condition of the structure were expored. Finally, the photocatalytic texts were conducted.Porous zinc oxide nanosheets were synthesized by the hydrothermal method. SEM,TEM, XRD, Raman showed that the size is about100nm, and the thicknessis is8nm.By changing the reaction temperature and the amount of source materials, the possiblegrowth mechanism was proposed. Photocatalytic and wetting properties were studied. The results showed that the products possess better photocatalytic performance andsuperhydrophilities.Using Zinc oxide microflowers as the precursor, Ag2O/ZnO heterostructures weresynthesized. SEM, TEM, XRD, and EDS tests showed that the products are Ag2O/ZnOheterostructures. Degradation of organic dyes under simulated solar light conditions wasrealized. Cycle tests showed the synthesized materials have better recycling properties.
