With the rapid development of PCB, the density of the hole of PCB board is growing, soit brings higher requirements in the accuracy and efficiency of drilling on PCB NC drillingmachine. How to improve the positional accuracy, drilling accuracy and processing efficiencyof PCB drilling machine is a challenging task. With D26C series CNC drilling machine as theresearch object, it analyzed the static and dynamic characteristics of machine tool. Based on it,the measure and method of improving the drilling precision machine tool is presented. Themain contents include the following aspects:(1) Analysis of static and dynamic characteristics of PCB NC drilling machine on X axis.According to the existing structure of machine tool, the digital model of PCB NC drillingmachine is established, and then the mass and moment of inertia is gotten on X axis of themoving parts of machine tool. Based on this, dynamic model of PCB NC drilling machine onX axis is established by the mechanical dynamics theory, and obtained the vibrationdisplacement, velocity, and acceleration of PCB NC drilling machine on X axis. Finally, it isanalyzed in the affecting factors about feed errors of PCB NC drilling machine of X axis.(2) Dynamic simulation analysis of PCB drilling machine drilling mecha nism. Themulti-body dynamics model and rigid-flexible hybrid model on Z axis of PCB CNC drillingmachine is established, and the dynamic analysis and Simulation of drill-down mechanism inPCB drilling machine are performed by using ADAMS software. The factors affecting on Zaxis motion errors of PCB drilling machine are discussed. Based on this, the improving PCBdrilling on Z axis motion accuracy measures is presented, and the structure design of theimportant parts of drill-down mechanism is completed. The bit error is reduced in drillingprocess, and the drilling accuracy is improved by the improvement of the running mechanismof the important parts. Finally transient dynamics simulation of the improved parts structure isperformed by using ANSYS and the rationality of the structure is verified.(3) Topology optimization design of the spindle support plate. Aimed at the structurecompliance small and small inertia as the goal, the topological optimization model of spindlesupport plate on the X-axis is established, and topology optimization of the support platestructure is implemented in ANSYS by using the theory of topology optimization. The staticanalysis is carried out on the support plate after optimization by using ANSYS, and themulti-body system dynamics simulation on X-axis motion are presented by applying ANSYS.It proved the feasibility of the improved structure to improve the accuracy of machine motion.This paper makes analysis and Research on the static and dynamic characteristics of thePCB NC drilling machine. The research results provides the theoretical basis for PCB NCdrilling machine structure redesign, and provides an effective way to improve the PCB NCdrilling machine drilling accuracy.
