The beginning of the21st century, China began take a series of policies andmeasures for the protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage.For example legislation,establishing a protection list and inheritors system. After thousands of years, China’sjade carving techniques is having the unique charm.Chinese jade has unique designideas and skills; after thouands of years’ development and innovation by the skillfulcarftsmen, the traditional jade has not just the simple crafts,it contains the Chinesetraditional culture and rituals, and marked with the imprint of religion, politics andmorality, gives people a sense of mystery. From the jade unearthed and handed down,we can see gorgeous styling and a rich cultural atmosphere. But hidden behind thetraditional arts and crafts is worth us to interpret and heritage of intangible culturalheritage.This thesis is based on the jade exhibition, jade tools and some emoticons ofMuseum in Henan Province, and also combined with the current development of theNanyang jade carving techniques. Combing the inheritance characteristics of jadecarving techniques and found the problems and future development trends.The development of Jade carving art needs base on the inheritance of techniquesand culture.But traditional crafts can not only be used to "Favorites" and protection,they need to fused modern society together, to develop a broader market withinnovative, in order to get the long-term development. Nanyang jade carving craftboth the outstanding traditional skills of the two schools in China’s north-south, and itis committed to continuous development of innovative.Pursuit of creative novel idea,the beautiful shape and advancing with the times. From small workshops begancontinuous development to industrialization, there are still have many problems, butjust to seize the heart of the cultural heritage, the skills would not be lost, the jadeindustry would not be lost,either.
