For this kind of furniture was made from light and flexible material, elegant appearance styling and fine production technology. Certainly it will become the main trend of future design in office furniture.Rattan was served as a furniture material for a long time, but now office furniture was still made from almost wood, plate and metal. Rattan was only occasionally appeared as the form of local adornment due to lack of systematic research on the use of it. New trends bring new problems and challenges to the new era of office furniture design. Based on it, the research object focused on rattan and wood office furniture styling and process in this paper. Firstly, through the collection and collation of relevant historical data on the development of domestic and international office furniture, the new technologies and new materials studied on how to influence the office morphology and organization, and then to analyze the feasibility and necessity of rattan and wood office furniture. Secondly, modern office furniture design principles and methods were employed to analyze the current excellent wood and rattan office furniture. Referring to the outstanding design elements, existing production and processing of rattan furniture were studied to master office furniture design and production. Based on the results, innovative researches were carried out from the shape of rattan and wood office furniture, materials, processes and colors. Finally, from the perspective of the future development trend of office furniture, the above innovative achievements were combined to design and produce sets of rattan and wood office furniture in rattan furniture enterprises, in order to provide theoretical and reference for the future of rattan and wood office furniture research.Concentrated on rattan and wood office furniture design, a set of design methods were summed up on rattan and wood office furniture in the paper, and the scope of office furniture production materials were broaden.
