In the sugar process of sulfurous acid, stoving neutralization is an important process in the production process. Calcium sulfite in this process is a very important product. This product can put most of colloidal suspensions and pigment impurities in sugarcane juice removed by adsorption, so that in the next procedure the clear and transparent, light color and soft juice can be successfully isolated. So the deeply study on the adsorption characteristics of calcium sulfite and the changes of the Zeta potential is particularly important to the entire sulfurous acid sugar clarification process. The application researches of the theories and methods of the Zeta potential in the sugar industry, has not been reported at home and abroad. Through simulating of sulfurous acid sugar clarification process, this topic was the first study of the usage in sugar cane juice by the theories and methods of Zeta potential. It preliminarily explored the change rules of the Zeta potential in the process of adsorption of the fresh calcium sulfite on the non-sugar in sugar cane mixed juice. The relations between Zeta potential of the fresh calcium sulfite and adsorption of non-sugar were analyzed using Zeta potential technique. This topic studies the adsorption characteristics of calcium sulfite and the changes of the Zeta potential in the sulfurous acid sugar clarification process. It will provide preliminary experimental based for the development of new equipment i with Zeta potential monitoring adsorption mixture juice clarification process. The work is as follows:1. It researched the adsorption characteristics of fresh calcium sulfite particles in different conditions and the effect of fresh calcium sulfite adsorption to color value and apparent purity of sugar cane juice. The experiment showed that with the increase of pH value and sulfitation intensity, the adsorption volume of fresh calcium sulfite on colloid, amino acids, phenolic pigment in sugar cane mixed juice and color value reduced volume were gradually increasing. The apparent purity first increased then decreased, it reached maximum in pH7.5and sulfitation intensity of2.0g SO2/L. So the appropriate increasing the pH and sulfitation intensity was conducive to improve adsorption clarification effect of calcium sulfite.2. It first studied the changes of Zeta potential of sulfite calcium in the sulfurous acid sugar clarification process. What’s more, this topic explored the effect of Zeta potential to the fresh calcium sulfite adsorption and apparent purity and competition adsorption acts of non-sugar. The experiment showed that that different pH value effected competition adsorption acts of fresh sulfite calcium precipitation particles to colloid, and amino acids, and phenolic pigment. With the increasing of pH value and sulfitation intensity, Zeta potential moved toward the positive direction; then, the adsorption volume of fresh calcium sulfite to colloid, amino acids, phenolic pigment in sugar cane mixed juice and color value reduced volume are gradually increasing. They Showed a certain positive correlation.3. It studyed the effect of the Zeta potential to the fresh calcium sulfite adsorption isotherm and established a fitting model of isothermal adsorption equations. What’s more, it explored the relations between Zeta potential to the fresh calcium sulfite and its adsorption volume. Laboratory analysis showed that: With the increase of equilibrium concentration, the adsorption volume of fresh calcium sulfite on tne non-sugart was presented logarithmically increase, the Zeta potential is also gradually increased. It also found that calcium sulfite on the adsorption of colloid accorded with the Freundlich adsorption model, the adsorption of amino acid and phenolic pigment were in line with the Langmuir adsorption model.4. It studied the effect of the Zeta potential to the adsorption kinetics of calcium sulfite and established a fitting model of adsorption kinetics equations. Laboratory analysis showed that the adsorption of fresh calcium sulfite on colloid was more in line with the Lagergren quasi-two second adsorption rate equation;oppositely, the adsorption of fresh calcium sulfite on amino acid and phenolic pigments were more in line with the Lagergren quasi-two adsorption rate equation. As the extension of adsorption time, the corresponding adsorption volume was gradually increased and Zeta potential was gradually moved to the positive direction.About30min after adsorption, three kinds of non-sugar material basically reached adsorption equilibrium and the Zeta potential was basically no longer changed.Through this study, the changing rule of Zeta potential in the adsorption process of fresh calcium sulfite on non-sugars, the adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherm equation were getted. Studies have shown that the changing rule of Zeta potential and the adsorption volume of fresh calcium sulfite presented certain positive correlation in the adsorption process of calcium sulfite on non-sugar in the sugar cane mixed juice. It is of great significance in development of key technology and equipment about the further research to establish with Zeta potential monitoring adsorption of the fresh calcium sulfite in mixed juice clarification process.
