Silkworm cocoons arrange up in8-line or S-line, Layer upon layer overlapconstitute net structure. After osmotic absorption of water, Silkworm cocoons can’tachieve to be even penetration. In the system of silk cocoon cooking, addfluorocarbon surfactant to reach the even penetration of every layer of silkwormcocoons and every single silkworm cocoon, which rely on making surface tensiondropped dramatically in extremely low concentration of fluorocarbon surfactant. Thisprocess tries to decrease anomaly ankylosis situation, bouncing rate and dropping end,increase output and reduce the intensity of labor.Firstly, select nonionic or anionic surfactant which has good color transparency,less foaming and easily soluble in water. Reduce surface tension will get a criticalconcentration which is called CMC (Critical Micelle Concentration). Throughhanging drop method measuring the liquid surface tension, make sure the CMC ofdifferent kinds of fluorocarbon surfactants, and then choose the highest active one.Secondly, after confirming the type and concentration of fluorocarbon surfactant,compare the penetration effect with JFC and deionized water. This research uses threemethods to characterize the penetration effect of silkworm cocoons, which are layerswelling capacity test (to characterize the layer water absorbing capacity), silkwormcocoons layer dyeing test (to characterize water molecules spreading condition ofsilkworm cocoons layer) and cooked silkworm cocoons stripping tension test (tocharacterize the size and degree of adhesion).At present, there is no direct relatedreference introduce how to characterize silkworm cocoons penetration effect, thisexperiment combining qualitative and quantitative tests, objectively characterize thepenetration effect of layer silkworm cocoons through.Finally, use automatic gaugingdevice, apply a grain of silkworm cocoons reeling method, measure the beheadednumber, broken position and the length of hundreds silkworm cocoons to explore thefilature adaptability of fluorocarbon surfactant.The experimental results show that, FCL-41fluorocarbon surfactant which produced by Weihui city welfare chemical, basically reached to CMC when theconcentration is0.01%and it is the highest one. Through penetration effectrepresentation experiment which compared with JFC and deionized water, can knowthat FCL-41which have lower surface tension, will have more water absorbing inlayer, good even penetration and low adhesion of cooked silkworm cocoons.From the results of a grain of silkworm cocoons reeling experiment, after addingFCL-41penetrated silkworm cocoons, the average of dropping end times is the lowest,and the average of the silk length is the longest. This shows that fluorocarbonsurfactant benefit to the even penetration, and the effect is better than normalpenetration JFC.
