A large amount of residual sludge is produced during urban sewage treatmentprocess for many years, most wastewater treatment plant sludge disposal is generallydirectly land filled after thickening and dewatering, due to containing many organicmatter, microorganisms, heavy metals in sludge, dehydrated sludge that directly is landfilled is still likely to cause secondary pollution of the environment. Because theresidual sludge contains many recyclable "biosolids", it is a resource that can be used.Currently, many researchers are devoted to research on the technology of sludgeresources, sought to use sludge as a resource to be used, aim at solving the problems ofenvironmental pollution of sludge, and bring certain economic benefits.On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the domestic and international sludgedisposal technology, according to the nature of the sludge, this subject comparedvarious technical features of sludge treatment and disposal methods, explored thefeasibility of sludge resources, combined with the sludge of sewage treatment plants inYin Chuan, research on sludge compost.Through two groups sludge compost experimental, main research was parametercontrolling of sludge compost, included pretreatment before composting, controlling ofsludge moisture, selection of ventilation mode, controlling of effect of secondarycomposting, heavy metal of residual after compost sludge, compost cycle and thefertilizer situation, also proceed fertilization test used this fertilizer for crop, recordedcrop growth, analyzed and evaluated. Research results showed that the sludge of Yin Chuan sewage treatment plant cantranslate into a favorable microbial by high-temperature fermentation technology.Through composting products with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer atdifferent scales and scientific proportioning, organic fertilizer and organic-inorganicfertilizer for different crops can be produced. Forced ventilation composting technologysuited for large-scale sewage sludge compost manufacturer, natural ventilationtechnology suited for small scale composting of household sewage sludge compostproduction.
