1The Theoretical research and analytical applications of oscillating chemicalreactionsThe chemical oscillating reactions and the applications in analytical determinationwere reviewed briefly in this paper. In addition, some classical oscillating chemicalsystems, their mechanisms and recent applications involving determination weresummarized in detail. At last the perspective of chemical oscillation reactions wasdiscussed simply.2Determination of Rhodamine B in capsicum powder by using a modifiedBelousov-Zhabotinskii oscillating chemical reactionA modified B-Z oscillating-chemical reaction with I-ion was successfully used todetect the Rhodamine B in capsicum powder. Results showed that after modifying thesensitivity of the system was improved obviously. The changes of amplitude was linearlyproportional to the-lgC (where C is the concentration of Rhodamine B) in the range of7.00×10-4mol/L-7.50×10-7mol/L. The detection limit is down to8.70×10-8mol/L, witha respective regression coefficients of0.9987. The proposed method has been applied forthe determination of Rhodamine B in capsicum powder, due to its unique advantagessuch as a simple setup, easy for operation.3Determination of chromium ion using a modified Belousov-Zhabotinskiioscillating chemical reactionA novel and convenient method with good selectivity and high sensitivity was usedto determine Cr(III). Results showed that after modifying the sensitivity of the systemwas improved obviously. The changes of amplitude was linearly proportional to the-lgC(where C is the concentration of chromium ion) in the range of2.20×10-5mol/L-2.50×10-9mol/L with the detection limit down to7.20×10-11mol/L. 4Determination of o-aminobenzoic acid by using oxalic acid-acetone doubleorganic substrate oscillating systemThe effect of o-aminobenzoic acid on oxalic acid-acetone-Ce4+KBrO3-H2SO4double organic substrate oscillating system was investigated in this part. Results showedthat a well linear relationship was existed between the potential difference and thenegative logarithm concentration of o-aminobenzoic acid in the range of5.60×10-5mol/L-6.40×10-8mol/L. The correlation coefficient was0.9963and the detection limit wasdown to6.01×10-8mol/L.5Determination of digallic acid by using glucose-acetone double organic substratesoscillating systemThe perturbation of digallic acid on B-Z oscillating chemical reaction withglucose and acetone as the double organic substrates was studied in this part. Resultsshowed that a well linear relationship was existed between the potential difference andthe negative logarithm concentration of digallic acid in the range of1.20×10-4mol/L-7.60×10-9mol/L. The correlation coefficient was0.9965and the detection limit was1.20×10-9mol/L.
