SO2is a kind of important atmospheric pollutants and an importantmeasure of degree of atmospheric pollutants. The rapid development of remotesensing technology to study the atmospheric environmental change provides animportant theoretical basis and technical support. Atmospheric boundary layer is themost close relationship with human activity of the atmosphere, known boundary layerin time and space distribution of SO2on air quality control has important significance.Lanzhou, baiyin, and JinChang is an important industrial city in gansu province, therapid economic development have been led to serious SO2pollution in severalareas.in this paper,Choice the central in gansu province as the study area,Located inthe area of35.5°N40°N、101°E105.5°E, Data from the OMI SO2inAtmospheric boundary layer,we were analyzed the Time and space changes aboutSO2in central in gansu province,Explain the space-time distribution of SO2using thedata of rainfall, temperature, wind speed and direction. Estimate the total SO2emission in the study area,Discuss the credibility of remote sensing monitoring ofatmospheric SO2using OMI data,Through the inversion of lanzhou, baiyin,jinchangof three cities in the SO2emissions.The results of the study:(1)from the time change, the concentration of SO2ishighest in February, the lowest in May at the central in gansu province. Seasonalvariation is obvious in a year,Winter is highest, lowest in summer. the trend of risingand falling average columnar value of SO2.(2) From the space distributioncharacteristics, There are two SO2high value area in the study area, They are lanzhouand baiyin high value area that Located In the center of the lanzhou and baiyincity.another high value area that Located In the center of the jinchang city;both twohigh value area is reducing year by year. Especially the high values in lanzhou andbaiyin city,Because the fastest area decreasing rate.(3) Because of the wind speed andwind direction, SO2space distribution is consistent with the city’s dominant winddirection; Rainfall and temperature plays an important role in eliminating SO2in theatmosphere.(4) OMI data inversion of SO2emissions in line with actual emissions onthe trend, But there are still some numerical error. OMI inversion of SO2emissions isabout1.8times the actual emissions.(4)Using remote sensing monitoring of atmospheric SO2can achieve environmental monitoring, But to improve the accuracyof remote sensing inversion of SO2, but also need to improve the sensor resolutionand strengthening ground synchronous observation of space and time. But to improvethe accuracy of remote sensing inversion of SO2, the research also needs to improvethe sensor resolution and strengthening ground synchronous observation of space andtime.
