Diamond saw is an important cutting tool and widely used in the processing of stone, glass,iron and other materials,but the vibration and noise produced by this kind of tools bring greatharm to the environment. Damping structure can effectively restrain the vibration and noise.When the substrate is stimulated by force, damping material can produce tension or shear stressto dissipate the vibration energy of matrix, so the vibration and sound radiation are controlled.The main researches are as follows:(1) The finite element software ANSYS is used for the vibration characteristic analysis ofcopper alloy damping sandwich circular saw, the damping sandwich circular saw and withoutdamping circular saw are compared to study the damping sandwich attenuation on vibration.(2) The finite element software ANSYS is used for the optimization of damping interlayerthickness, and optimal thickness is obtained.(3) In view of the study of topology optimization design method on vibration and noisereduction of damping material structure and based on evolutionary topology ESO(EvolutionaryStructural Optimization) algorithm, the optimal layout of damping material is sought. Elementsdeleting method and calculation method of the modal loss factor sensitivity are obtained.Topological optimization process for the circular saw is built. The optimal structure of laminateddamping circular saw under the condition of stiffness is obtained, which reduces the vibrationand noise and reaches a certain stiffness requirement at the same time. By contrasting thedamping loss factor of there kinds of circular saws, the vibration and noise reduction effect ofoptimized circular saw structure is validated.(4) The finite element analysis software ANSYS is used to generate the grid model, throughthe harmonic response analysis to calculate the surface vibration velocity as model boundarycondition, the acoustic boundary element model is established after the corresponding dataprocessing, the structure vibration acoustic characteristics can be calculated by using theboundary element software SYSNOISE. The comparison is made in the sound pressure levelbetween the damping sandwich saw and the common circular saw, the vibration and noisereduction effect of the damping sandwich saw is verified.
