Heavy-duty CNC machine tools are widely applied to various fields,involving inAutomobile manufacturing industry, Ships processing industry, Power plant construction, Aviationsector and Military enterprises and so on. Compared with foreign famous machine toolplant? machining precision of our countr’ys Machine tools is in a backward state. Thereis a big gap. Thermal error is the main factors restricting machining precision of ourco’untrys Machine tools. So reducing the thermal error is the key technology toimprove the machine level.Ram is a core component of heavy machine. During the process machining, thereare varieties of heat sources,such as ambient temperature,the heating of cutting, theheating of bearing.they can raise the temperature of Ram and lead to thermaldeformation, which produces an offset between milling-tool and Machined parts. Thepositional relationship of milling-tool and Machined parts is destroyed, which severelyreduces the machining precision of machine tools.Beam is a component of supporting the Ram.The thermal deformation of the guideof Beam in contact with the Ram affects the movement and position of the ram,whichdirectly reducing the machining precision of machine tools.This thesis establishes the three-dimensional modeling of a boring-milling machineram,and conducts thermal Analysis by ABAQUS,than making use of Thermal Imagerconducts Data collection of ram key points? which examines the reliability of FiniteElement Analysis of ram temperature ifeld. This paper conducts steady-state thermalcharacteristics of the Beam, whose heat sources is friction heat of the guides betweenram and beam, then analyzes the inlfuence steady-state thermal characteristics of thebeam to ram..Finally, it uses the unrelated policy and the main factors strategy to optimize themeasurement points,and proposes the plan of thermal error model of ram by usingMultiple linear regression method.
