Heavy alkyl benzene sulfonate (HABS) has been used as one of the mostpopular surfatant to construct an ASP flooding oil recovery system in the enhancedoil recovery. However, to compared with the producing wastewater of LAS, it can beeasily distinguished that the producting sewage of HABS had a higherconcerntration of polutants, a stronger toxicity to microsystem and the compositionof this sewage was more complex. As a result, if the treating process for LAS wasgoing to use in treating HABS, it would be low efficiency and unreasonable.A process composed of Iron Catalytic Oxidation and Fenton Oxidation wasused to deal with the producing water of HABS. In addation, the combined processhas foucused on the properties of the HABS yielding water, which are high pH, highsalinity, high CODCrand plenty of sulfite contained. What’s more, the beakerexperi-ments and pilot experiments have been done to optimize the processparameters. At last, the results of impact load and continuous operation experimentsshowed this combined process could be used to address the producing wastewater ofHABS in high efficiency and low cost. The whole procedure included4steps, what were multifunctional adjustment, catalytic oxidation, Fenton oxidation and sedimentation. And the optimizedoperational conditions of the process were showed below:The influent pH of catalytic oxidation tank (COT), Fenton oxidation tank (FOT)and sedimentation tank (ST) were8±0.3,3.5±0.3and not less than9, respectively. The residence time of COT, FOT and ST were2hours (1.5h aeration with0.2Nm~3·Air/h·NL Sewageand0.5h aeration with0.3Nm~3·Air/h·NL Sewage),1hour and1hour respectively. When the producing wastewater treated by the conbined process with aboveconditions. The concerntration of COD and surfactant in the effluent should bereduced to43.8mg/l and2.96mg/l respectively, both them were fufilled the nationalstandard GB/T8978-1996. Moreover, in this situation the opreational cost would be¥3.18per ton wastewater, thus it had an obvious economic advantage. It also been confirmed that any one of sewage which have the same propertieswith HABS producing sewage (enough sulfite and high salinity) could be treatedwith the combined process, provided in this thesis, in high efficiency and low cost.Because there are similar three steps in the degradation of pollutants.
