Submerged arc welding machine control system is a control system of industrial welding equipment. This system is of high anti-interference. It can adapt to harsh industrial environments and can work stably, safely and reliably. Hardware kernel of this system is STM32F100VBT6, which is based on ARM Cortex-M3. Intelligent control of the welder is implemented by extending peripheral interface circuit. This system has a variety of functions such as real-time adjustment parameters, data acquisition and human-computer interaction, etc. Software of this system is based on firmware library v3.5.According to customer demand, after the investigation of the development of both home and abroad, the design scheme is proposed. First of all, this paper introduces overall design of submerged arc welding control system, hardware block diagram and the detailed design of hardware. Submerged arc welding control system is based on STM32micro-controller. This system consists of peripheral data acquisition module, keyboard module, LCD module, DC motor module with wire feeder, stepper motor module, relay interface module, limit switch module and power module. Then this paper introduces software design of this system, which consists of the division of the software, the main program flow chart and all kinds of subroutine flow chart. Finally, the test is carried out which includes the functions and the reliability of this system. Meanwhile, some test results is given in this paper. After scene debugging and actual use, this system can reach the design requirements with characteristics of strong adaptability, good stability, easy operation status, and human-computer interaction.
