Due to low efficiency which leads to a great waste of energy, it’s of greatimportance improving the power factor of the submerged arc furnace to reducecosts and waste of resources, save energy and improve product quality.According to the domestic smelting enterprises need of submerged arc furnaceelectric parameter monitoring, the domestic situation in this field is analyzed.On this base, a submerged arc furnace electronic data acquisition system isdesigned and implemented, which contains real-time data acquisition subsystemand data management subsystem.The real-time data acquisition subsystem, which take TMS320F2812digitalsignal processor produced by TI Corp as the control chip to control externalADC TLC1549, can collect and process electronic parameters of submerged arcfurnace. Through the serial interface, the real-time data acquisition subsystemcan communicates with the data management subsystem and upload data to it.Finally, the experiment has been carried out, which takes the weldingmachine to simulate voltage surge working environment of the submerged arc.The experimental results show that the system can capture the real-time powerparameters accurately, and upload the collected-data to the host computer intime. The system can realize the real-time monitoring of power data, waveformdisplay, data storage and historical data query and other functions.
