Synthesis, Characterization Of Novel Functional Schiff-based Metal Complexes

Schiff base complexes and schiff base polymers have been widely used ininformation and communication technology, polymer building technology, chemicalcatalysis, optical materials because of its special structures and properties. On the basisof comprehensive literature, the aldehydes compound of schiff bases were preparedthrough condensation reaction with amine compounds through the molecular design,and schiff base with Cu (Ⅱ) ligand complexes are synthesized. Through studying ofoptical properties of complexes, we hope to get application in the field of functionalmolecular materials.Firstly, we synthesized four diphenyl methyl ketone compounds in this paper.including α，αˊ-bis(2-hydroxybenzylidene)cyclopentanone,α，αˊ-bis(2-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzylidene)cyclopentanone,α，αˊ-bis((5-methoxyfuran-2-yl)methylene)cyclopentanoneand andα，αˊ-bis((4,5-dimethoxyfuran-2-yl)methylene)cyclopentanone, respectively. Then wealso synthesized the2-amino-1,3-benzodiazepines. All the compounds have beenconfirmed through IR spectrum.The synthesis conditions has carried on theinvestigation and research, optimize the reaction conditions, improve the productionrate.Secondly, four kinds of schiff base L1, L2, L3, L4have been synthesized by usingthe four kinds of diphenyl methyl ketone compounds and2-amino-1,3-benzodiazepinesrespectively. The compounds have been characterized validation and comparativeanalysis through the infrared spectrum, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) andultraviolet-visible absorption spectra.Finally, four coordination complexes (CuL1，CuL2，CuL3，CuL4) have beensynthesized through schiff base L1, L2, L3, L4and metal ions Cu (Ⅱ) ligand. Thecomplexes have been studied through IR spectrum and fluorescence spectrum analysis.Characterization of structures and properties are studied.
