Non-woven fabrics is widely used in various fields of modern life because of its uniquecharacteristics and the non-woven bag is an important application. Compared to plastic bag andpaper bag, non-woven bag is more economical, stronger and greener. Currently the productionlines of non-woven bags are mostly based on ultrasonic welding technology, but the manufacturerequirement of high quality non-woven bags makes the automatic processing of needle sewingtechnology become a problem urgently to be solved of enterprises.According to the technology requirements of the enterprise, technical difficulties inautomatic processing of non-woven bags have been analyzed, automatic needle sewingproduction line of non-woven bags has been designed and key technologies of the productionline have been studied in this paper.On the basis of the design requirements, the overall project which composed of unwindingand deviation-rectifying system, handles making system, tension control system and non-wovencrosscutting system has been given. Three candidate solutions such as roller transportation mode,chained mode and reciprocating mechanical finger mode have been proposed to solve thehandles making technology, by using the fuzzy-analytic hierarchy method to evaluate thesolutions, the best one has been selected.Tension control system has been studied in the paper. Basic control principle and strategyhave been analyzed, three control patterns such as manual, semi-automatic, automatic have beenintroduced, and pros and cons have been discussed. The specific plan for full automatic tensioncontrol system of unwinding has been made.According to the technology solutions of automation processing major principles ofbag-body feeding mechanism, unwinding mechanism and deviation-rectifying mechanism inunwinding and deviation-rectifying system, handles forming mechanism, flatting mechanism andpressure transporting mechanism in handles making system, and main mechanism in non-wovencrosscutting system have been analyzed,3D models of the main parts have been modeling byusing SolidWorks.Based on the design requirements of the control system in the production line, automaticdeviation-rectifying control system and PLC control system have been studied. By analyzing thepractical applications of the PLC control in feeding and cutting handles, feeding and cutting bag-body, sewing handles and bag-body and handles feeding velocity detection, control schemeof each part has been proposed, PLC program has been compiled and touchscreen’s contactsurface has been designed.By adding needle sewing technology to the production line, the problem of needle sewing’sautomatic processing has been resolved. It can help enterprises to improve the product quality,reduce the labor costs and increase the economic benefits.
